لَكِنَّهُ حَمَلَ أَحزَانَنَا وَتَحَمَّلَ أَوجَاعَنَا،
وَنَحنُ حَسِبنَا أَنَّ الرَّبَّ عَاقَبَهُ وَأَذَلَّهُ،

لَكِنَّهُ كَانَ مَجرُوحاً مِن أَجلِ آثَامِنَا
وَمَسحُوقاً مِنْ أَجلِ مَعَاصِينَا،
حَلَّ بِهِ تَأدِيبُ سَلامِنَا، وَبِجِرَاحِهِ بَرِئنَا.

كُلُّنَا كَغَنَمٍ ضَللنا مِلنَا كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ إِلَى طَرِيقِهِ،
فَأَثقَلَ الرَّبُّ كَاهِلَهُ بِإِثمِنا جَمِيعاً.

But he bore our sorrows and carried our wounds
And we counted him punished and stricken by God

But he was injured for our sins
And crushed for our iniquities
The punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and in his wounds is our righteousness
And the Lord burdened him with the iniquity of us all
